This is a picture of the South Tower Fountain that I took today while I was at the 9/11 Memorial in New York City. My aunt was telling me stories of how my uncle, an NYC firefighter, and men from his firehouse helped to save people from the falling towers. It was extremely humbling to know that I was standing on the site of an event that single-handedly changed the face of our country forever. Today, there are two fountains contructed from the foundations of the North and South towers, and are lined with the names of the men, women, and children who died in the September 11, 2001 attacks and also during the February 26, 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.
